Remembrance Day - posted 11th Nov

Today we stood proudly by our flag to remember those who have fought and fallen for us. Along with the whole nation Court Lane Infants School respectfully stood silent at 11:00 am for 2 minutes, paying our thoughts to those who had given their lives so that we can have ours.

CLICA Summer Picnic - posted 10th Jun

The CLICA summer picnic was a huge success again this year, as well as it being a great social event over £900 was raised for the school. Around 350 people attended and a lovely time was had by all!
Thank you again to all the parents for your continued support attending the CLICA events and for your donations to make the events a success.

Recorder Club Concert - posted 6th Jun

On Friday 10th June at 9am we are having a special assembly to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which will include a short concert for all parents and carers of children who attend the Recorder Club.  We would like to invite you to this concert (a maximum of two places per child please).   Could you please let the office know by email or telephone if you are coming to the assembly as soon as possible to give us an idea of seating arrangements.

We Love Reading Week - posted 7th Mar

Monday 29th February was the start of a successful Reading Week at Court Lane Infant School.  As part of our week we worked with a theatre company where the children were acting out traditional tales.  Also as part of the week some children worked with our food ambassador to learn about fruits from different countries and cultures, this linked to some of the cultural stories that we have been learning about, such as Handa’s Surprise.   In classes children have been learning Literacy, Maths and Science skills through books and stories.  Year R focussed on stories by Mick Inkpen, Year 1 have been learning about books written by Julia Donaldson and Year 2 focussed on books written by Antony Browne.
