We Love Reading Week - posted 7th Mar
Monday 29th February was the start of a successful Reading Week at Court Lane Infant School. As part of our week we worked with a theatre company where the children were acting out traditional tales. Also as part of the week some children worked with our food ambassador to learn about fruits from different countries and cultures, this linked to some of the cultural stories that we have been learning about, such as Handa’s Surprise. In classes children have been learning Literacy, Maths and Science skills through books and stories. Year R focussed on stories by Mick Inkpen, Year 1 have been learning about books written by Julia Donaldson and Year 2 focussed on books written by Antony Browne.
